HISTORY

The traditional company was founded in 1886 by Adolf Siemers under the name "Packkistenfabrik Adolf Siemers" in the historic Deichstraße in Hamburg and thus has a history rich in tradition for over 130 years. In the meantime, the company changed its name to "Altonaer Kistenfabrik Adolf Siemers" (akf) and, from 2005, operated under the name akf siemers group as one of Hamburg's oldest and largest industrial goods and export packaging companies.
In 2019, akf siemers hamburg GmbH was taken over by Axxum and integrated into the Axxum Group as AXXUM Packaging Hamburg GmbH.

The company's core competence is still in the sector of packaging, whereby its own water connection directly on the Müggenburg Canal enables flexible transport of heavy cargo and special equipment by barge.
