HISTORY

The company Günter AXXUM Packaging Rhein-Ruhr GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1959 in Wuppertal-Langerfeld. Initially, it was a regional manufacturer and supplier of pallet and wooden crates. Soon AXXUM Packaging Rhein-Ruhr GmbH & Co. KG, with its expertly trained staff, became a packaging partner and service provider for mechanical and plant engineering. In the 1970s, the company took over the steel packaging for several plants in the regional steel industry, all of which are now "global players".
Since 1992, AXXUM Packaging Rhein-Ruhr GmbH & Co. KG has been a member of the Axxum Group with several locations in western Germany and in the Czech Republic and focuses on Packaging and Contract Logistics.
In January 2019, a new trimodal location opened in Gelsenkirchen.
The facility is located with direct water and rail access in the Gelsenkirchen port on the Rhine-Herne Canal. Connections to the A40 and A42 highways are also in the direct vicinity.
